Perl6 for Win32

[ We know how to say: 'Cicero says thus; such are the morals of Plato; these are the very words of Aristotle.' But what do we say ourselves? What do we judge? What do we do? A parrot could well say as much. ]

You will find here the Windows installers for Parrot and Pugs.
Proceed as usual to install (and uninstall) programs under Windows (follow the wizard...).
The installers were created with Inno Setup.

 Parrot

Parrot is the virtual machine for Perl6 (and others dynamic languages). See: Parrot homepage

Download: Setup-Parrot-0.4.17.exe (5.38 MB)

Install Parrot-0.4.17 (October 17th, 2007) compiled with ICU-3.8 (International Component for Unicode), Gdbm-1.8.3 (GNU database manager) and documentation in html format.

Note : Because ICU is compiled with Visual C++ 2005 you can get an error message "The Application failed to initialize properly ( 0xc0150002 )" when you run parrot if your system is old or doesn't have the last Service Pack! In this case download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package vcredist_x86.exe from the Microsoft site.

 Pugs

Pugs is an implementation of Perl 6, written in Haskell. See: Pugs homepage

Download: Setup-Perl6-Pugs-6.2.13.exe (5.33 MB)

Install Pugs-6.2.13 (r18782 - November 3th, 2007) and documentation in html format.
